Tip #5 for Balancing Business and Life When Things Get Hectic

Anne Bachrach

Today we are talking about tip #5 of the 5 tips for balancing business and life when things get hectic, which is, Don’t Feel Bad for Taking Time Off.

Whatever you do, don’t get down on yourself for taking some time off. Whether it is an hour for lunch, leaving early on Friday, a weekend vacation, or even an extended getaway to your favorite resort, remember that if you have planned it and planned for a way for things to operate while you are gone, there is NO reason to feel guilty. Needing time off does not make you a bad person… it makes you a normal person, and that is EXACTLY what it takes to balance life and work.

Over the past 5 days, we have explored 5 tips for helping you to balance life and business when things get hectic.  Really look at each one of these 5 tips, and see how you relate to any of them. If you have had a hard time balancing life and work recently, implement at least one of these 5 tips to help lessen the stress-load. Finding a balance is a healthy thing for successful people to do, but it is often overlooked… despite how important it is.

I’m the author of many books, including, Excuses Don’t Count; Results Rule, Live Life with No Regrets, No Excuses, The Guide to Stopping Procrastination, The Power of Visualization, My Gratitude Journal, the Work Life Balance Emergency Kit, and The Roadmap To Success with Stephen Covey and Ken Blanchard, and more.

Aim for what you want each and every day!
